  • U.S. Government Barracks, JeffersonClark wrote 9 years ago:
The photos above are both supposed to be the Jeffersonville barracks. They both may very well be but they are not the same building. The maps that I've referenced only label one location for the barracks building which is this location. Only one can be right. There are other buildings in the area which could be barracks but they aren't labeled as such. I'll explain each photo's source and details in their respective comments.

Just like Orlena Purdom, I wanna thank the Lord for the Life and the willing spirit of mama Rev BR Hicks for allowing the Lord to use her to touch so many lives with the message of a Begotten Name and the Unbegotten Name. I was part of the Church and left but Christ seed planted in me, through her messages delivered to this family by Rev Francis of Cape Town and Bishop S Mata, never left us. Right now I am listening to the Sermon Study #3094 of Fri PM 5/11/2012 - GETTING THE FIRE OF GOD'S LOVE ON OUR FEET. Thank u mama. Donald from South Africa, Queenstown

I located the site of the Dream Theater from old photos and moved one of your pictures to that entry. (Hist/Hidden) I didn't know about the other two. I have a lot of shots of the LeRose from the "37 flood but none of them are good enough to post. The front had a vertical sign then and a turreted building next to it.

Do not undelete the photo of the ground plan. It is Fort Finney ... but NOT the same Fort Finney. That one was at the mouth of the Miami River. It was abandoned and "moved" to this location.

Dear fellow believers in God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Church, Be the Church outlines your role in the second great Reformation. In 1530, the first great Reformation emphasized salvation in terms of justification by faith alone in Jesus Christ who died on the cross for all our sins. Today, the second great Reformation emphasizes sanctification in terms of removing sin and cultivating holiness and righteousness. After starting with salvation in the cross of Christ, Church, Be the Church looks at the large systems that affect you such as the church, the secular government, helping agencies, the congregation, therapists, the church judges, the family, and the marriage. This book aligns these systems to work together according to God’s design. Church, Be the Church looks at the individual whether you are a pastor, a member of a congregation, a church judge, a member of a family, an unbeliever, or a believer. This book describes your role to obey God and accomplish His purposes. In addition, this book may be the spark plug that ignites the next stirring revival in America . Be fulfilled. Be a vibrant part of the solution. You can obtain your copy of Church, Be the Church either in the eBook version or the printed version. Thank you Rev. Hicks. Thank you for helping me in so many wonderful ways. you are a blessing to untold numbers of people thru what you have done by the power of the Holy Ghost. For instance,Pastor Dennis Plack baptized me in 1985 and I became a member of Christ Gospel Church in Minneapolis. My experiences in the Lord has been incredible ever since.Amazing Grace ....I was blind, but now I see (better). We thank God for you Reverend Hicks...your influence has had a great and very significant impact on my spiritual...through your faithful servant,my pastor,Reverend Dennis Plack and Reverend Patricia Plack,....and Reverend Mike Plack and Reverend Toby Chiles and Sis Kristina Chiles and their wonderful children. I feel and know that I am so very blessed to have fellowshipped and worshipped, shared my life with, been taught by many of Pastor Plack's family members and church members....such as all of Pastors brothers and sisters and children and their children and friends and families. I am so overwhelmed when ever I think of all the wonderful souls you have taught and influenced by your ministering. Hey Rev Hicks, check this one out: my mom name is Bernice and so is my youngest daughter....Man do I know some great and loving Bernices...Ha ha ha! Because of my experience with the Lord and His grace I am back in my hometown Birmingham,Alabama and serving as Associate Minister of First Missionary Baptist Church of Roosevelt...located in Birmingham. Because I am Pentecostal at heart I will always praise God with a full demonstation of the Spirit. God is greatly to be praised! I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ....I love you Reverend Bernice Hicks and I think of something I have learned from you each day and it helps me get thru each day. For example: you once said "we should sing every day".Just something simple like that when put into use I chase away more demons and shut Leviathan,s mouth right up, in the Name of Jesus, pleading the Blood of Jesus. Amen Reverend...and may I suggest that you cut back on working 18 hours aday to just 12...you're no spring chicken you know. Even Moses had to cut back....a little. Ok fair enough O Mighty Woman of God? Amen then. And Hallelujah.( I can say all of this now and tremble just a little bit< but if I was in your presence I would probably be terrified< especially after writing all this and trying to tell you what to do. All I meant was,Rev Hicks,I want you to be around for another 90 years. We need you still and do not want you to work yourself into ill health. thats all I meant. Bless you Reverend Hicks, and all you have done for my whole church family. I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Rev Hicks, I first want to express my deepest gratitude for you and the message you so faithfully, with much sacrifice have given God's people. You are constant in your faithfulness and this faithfulness has inspired me through the years. I rebelled many years ago, 1980 and came back to the message 2003 < 23 long years > and though there was much heartache in those 23 years God had the Blood Fence keeping me. I am so thankful this morning for the truth that brings such liberation from the darkness hate and death that has kept me bound for so many years. I have been blessed to visit July conventions since 2004 what a blessing. I am excited about what is just around the corner. I am loving the message on "Provoking The Eyes of God's Glory"....bringing me to my knees in repentance. God bless you Rev Hicks and may God continue to bring to you "more speckled birds". I love you and appreciate you for introducing me to TRUTH. My God is my King of Old working salvation in the midst of the earth.....going home is my desire. Love RAR From Arkanssas

Rev. Hicks It is so wonderful to see the fulfilment of what God had always promised. I had attended Christ Gospel Church from the time I was 4 years old. I departed from it but it never departed from me. Even after a car accident which destroyed my memory and a move that took me 1200 miles away I have seeds of truth planted inside of me that are begining to sprout, grow and shoot upwards towards my Heavenly Father. I am forever grateful for you and for your life. It is a continued joy to see and witness what God is doing in Jeffersonville, IN. I know you pray for me. Always Orlena Purdom
